Security and Confidentiality

DataArt understands the security and confidentiality concerns of our clients – you want to be certain that your information will be kept secure and none of your strategies will be revealed to anyone. We address security and confidentiality on several levels:

  • Organisational

    • Familiarisation – We can start with a small, non-critical project so you can familiarise yourselves with DataArt
    • Segregation – In most projects, it is possible to separate the software and data – many of DataArt’s clients follow this route, and we highly recommend it. For example, in financials services projects it is possible to only deal with forms, algorithms and fake data, and not with the actual trades or models. The final testing and deployment and data population takes place on the client’s premises and is handled by internal staff
  • Technical
After a level of trust is established, confidential information may be transmitted between DataArt and the client.
There are technical measures that are taken to ensure the security of this information:

    • Secure VPNs (virtual private networks)
    • Redundant servers and data storage (provided by DataArt by default)
    • Sensitive data kept in London
    • DataArt’s policies and infrastructure controlling employee actions
  • Legal and Other

    • IP – You keep the intellectual property of all systems that DataArt develops for you
    • Jurisdiction – DataArt works either under New York or England and Wales jurisdictions
    • NDA – DataArt has a standard NDA and is willing to discuss NDA terms. All DataArt employees have a legal contract with an NDA clause
    • References – DataArt can provide necessary references
    • Insurance – DataArt has general liability insurance
